Who we are

We are scientists, technologists, and solution finders.
We have over a decade of experience at the interface between scientific research and digital technology, finding smart, effective solutions for the biotech industry.

Co-Founding Partner

Michael Ford
Michael was one of the founding members when Benchling established their regional team in Switzerland. Michael has been responsible for a range of long term customer support projects, supporting 5 person startups to multinational pharmas. Most recently he managed Benchling's partner ecosystem in Europe. When Michael isn't busy helping teams figure out how to leave their life of Excel sheets behind, he can be found on different hiking routes across the Swiss-Austrian Alps.

Co-Founding Partner

Youjin Teo, Ph.D
Youjin, pronounced like "Eugene," has woven a rich tapestry of experiences, from a decade in molecular biology labs to strategy sessions in pharma boardrooms. Over the last three years, he has aided biotechs in transitioning to digital laboratory solutions like Benchling, specializing in complex data models. Outside of orchestrating these digital transformations, Youjin dedicates his time to co-parenting his two young children and meticulously logging his specialty coffee adventures on Benchling's registry.

Jorge Cordero-González
With a background in structural biology and tech in pharma, Jorge has a knack for complex data challenges, finding satisfaction in the kind of problems most people would rather avoid. Outside of work, you will find Jorge rock climbing, biking along scenic trails, or relaxing in the sauna after a long day of adventure

Associate Consultant

Iszy (Isabelle) Clayton-Lucey
Iszy has a background in genetics, molecular medicine, and biotech, and transitioned from research to leading digital transformation at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, a legendary pioneer in genomics and biomedicine. Outside of work Iszy can be found applying their lab-honed precision in the kitchen, hiking around the UK or switching off with yoga.

Why ComputedField?
Your work is complicated. Your software should not be.

In our work across the biotech industry, we’ve seen groundbreaking teams held back by paper records and sprawling spreadsheets. Transitioning to digital systems brings real benefits but also real challenges: migrating data, rethinking workflows, and ensuring long-term adoption. And like any system, a platform is only as valuable as the structure and upkeep behind it.
We’ve learned that tailoring software to the realities of biotech requires deep domain expertise. After supporting dozens of teams through digital transitions, it became clear: biotech needed a partner who understands both the science and the systems.
That’s why we started ComputedField. We help biotech teams adopt, manage, and scale digital lab systems with confidence so they can stay focused on the science that drives them.
